Carpenters Local 1846 – Mississippi
Carpenters Local 1846 is seeking skilled Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) and Clean Room Carpenters to support ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Mississippi.
Position Overview
Qualified candidates will perform installation and assembly of insulated metal panel systems and clean room construction in industrial, commercial, and specialized environments. This work requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install insulated metal panel (IMP) wall and ceiling systems
- Construct clean rooms, controlled environments, and specialty enclosures
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform layout, framing, panel installation, and finishing work
- Ensure all work meets industry, manufacturer, and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant jobsite
Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpenter status or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience with IMP systems and/or clean room construction
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and specialty installation equipment
- Strong knowledge of jobsite safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work project-based schedules
Preferred Experience
- Prior carpentry experience
- Industrial, pharmaceutical, food processing, or high-tech facilities
- Familiarity with air-sealed environments and precision installations
