About this opportunity:

Cenovus Energy located in Dublin, OH is looking for an individual contributor to support the US Refined Products Marketing & Trading and Supply & Logistics business units with critical finance and accounting responsibilities, including reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, collaborative, and skilled in communicating financial results tied to the economic P\&L. They will manage core processes such as reconciliations, invoicing, accruals, and financial inventory calculations with a high degree of accuracy.

What youll do:

  • Manage endtoend booklevel accounting and reporting, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for Marketing back office

  • Prepare financial and performance management reports for stakeholders and support longrange planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Partner with Marketing & Trading and Supply & Logistics teams to bridge economic P&L to financial results and explain key variances.

  • Oversee transportation and inventory processes, including monthly balancing, netback calculations, FIFO (First in First Out) accounting, and inventory reconciliation.

  • Manage transportation and storage expense/revenue insights and support intercompany and intersegment profit processes.

  • Provide financial data for business unit KPIs, benchmarking efforts, and required government/customs reporting.

Who you are:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, business/financial analysis

  • Bachelors degree in finance/accounting

  • CPA/MBA

  • Advanced Excel & SAP skills

  • Experience in oil and gas marketing/trading
