Key Accountabilities

  • Advise on, maintain and update bpx SMP and Incident Management Plans (IMP) as directed
  • Investigate and document security incidents and SP violations as directed.
  • Participate in investigations in accordance with L48bpx HSE Incident Investigation Protocol.
  • Maintain security incident case file systems as required.
  • Conduct and attend After Action Reviews and produce After Actions Reports as directed.
  • Monitor and advise the HoS of conformance with L48 bpx energy Security Policy (SP), bpx Security Management Plans (SMP), bpx Crisis & Continuity Management Policy (CCMP) and compliance with applicable security regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the bpx Security Risk Assessment process, to include the physical and technical security measures for the BU SMPs to deter, mitigate and respond to security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state and federal authorities.
  • Train, lead and coach employees to develop and ensure competencies in the areas of Security.

Essential Education

  • Bachelor of Arts Criminal Justice, Law or Political Science.

Essential Experience

  • 10 years of successful active Law Enforcement management, criminal investigations or national security investigations management experience.
  • 4 years of experience developing and providing technical and procedural training.
  • FEMA ICS 100 certified
  • 5 years experience in Functional understanding of the oil and gas industry and good knowledge of oil and gas operations and equipment.
  • Experience working with their respective local, state and federal law enforcement agencies while conducting criminal or national security investigations.
  • Familiarity with applicable criminal codes, jurisdictions, whether Tribal, State or Federal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain liaison relationships with local, state, federal law enforcement and first responder organizations.
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) and case material organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage change.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage available resources and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of general computer skills (Microsoft Office Tools, AI, CoPilot).

Desirable criteria

In addition to the essential criteria & qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of the security elements found within applicable oil and gas regulations.
  • Knowledge of systems used for work orders, maintenance, automation, inventory, production accounting, etc.
  • Experience working on projects with an external compliance component.
  • Familiarity with drilling, completions and well work activities.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated team player.
  • Bilingual
