RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represent the organization at national and regional industry conferences, panels, and networking forums.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with practice owners, industry peers, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as a speaker, panelist, or host for curated networking experiences, including breakfasts, meetups, and private gatherings.
  • Establish credibility through consultative, high-impact conversations.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate business opportunities originating from events and relationship-building efforts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor who strengthens brand reputation and long-term market positioning.
  • Ensure qualified leads are properly documented, nurtured, and transitioned into the sales pipeline.
  • Track and report on event performance, including ROI, lead conversion, and opportunity creation.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to support strong handoffs and successful deal progression.
  • Design, coordinate, and execute side events that elevate brand visibility and deepen engagement.
  • Manage logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up to maximize impact and conversion.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with vendors and industry stakeholders.
  • Build structured referral programs that generate reliable, high-quality inbound opportunities.
  • Maintain long-term partner relationships that deliver mutual value and sustained lead flow.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience in the veterinary industry
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, high-touch sales, or event-driven relationship building
  • Demonstrated success converting networking into measurable revenue or pipeline growth
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Experience planning and executing high-impact side events
  • Proficiency with CRM systems to track engagement and opportunities
  • Comfortable working independently and traveling for conferences and events
