Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Supports the development of manufacturing and assembly business plans, including operations strategy, staffing plans, and budget development.
• Drives lean manufacturing transformation by expanding employee knowledge and engagement in continuous improvement using tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and SMED.
• Works cross-functionally to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and implement operational improvements.
• Ensures adherence to ISO requirements and leads corrective actions to address quality concerns.
• Champions continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap and rework, and track performance through key metrics.
• Provides overall leadership of plant operations by setting clear priorities and strategic direction for manufacturing and assembly functions.
• Delivers strong operational results by consistently achieving cost, quality, and delivery goals while improving efficiency and operational performance.
• Serves as a visible safety leader, fostering a culture of accountability and proactive risk management across manufacturing and assembly.
• Leads, develops, and inspires manufacturing and assembly teams to achieve objectives aligned with the company's strategic business plan.
• Coaches and supports managers, supervisors, and team leads to strengthen leadership capability and operational execution.
• Partners with foremen and supervisors on employee performance evaluations and disciplinary processes.
• Establishes, maintains, and continuously improves production standards across all manufacturing operations.
• Leads and supports supervisors and team leads to ensure effective execution of production plans.
• Determines resource requirements and operational actions needed to meet customer demand.
• Deploys value stream-aligned organizational structures and daily management processes to enhance team flexibility and performance.
• Improves integration of internal processes to increase material visibility and support on-time-to-request (OTTR) delivery.
• Defines and implements standardized work for module assembly operations.
• Reinforces standard work, process discipline, and consistent operating practices.
• Implements One Piece Flow (OPF), producing one press at a time in alignment with established takt times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing operation.
• Lean Manufacturing certification desired.
• Knowledge of SOCDM metrics
• Knowledge of PDCA format
