Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital dedicated to delivering gold-standard veterinary care and is currently hiring a full-time Medical Director. The practice focuses exclusively on small animal medicine and is supported by a wider hospital network that prioritizes quality medicine, professional development, and operational excellence.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with daytime hours. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. Appointments are scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with surgical procedures performed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. No after-hours or overnight responsibilities are required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director role combines clinical leadership with hands-on veterinary care. Responsibilities include overseeing medical standards, supporting and mentoring the veterinary team, and providing high-quality clinical care in areas such as wellness, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and preventative care. The role emphasizes protocol development, workflow efficiency, and personalized patient care. This position is suited for an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership capabilities.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides comprehensive small animal services within a structured, protocol-driven environment. Services include wellness and senior care, dental care, surgery, orthopedic procedures, internal medicine, radiology, pharmacy services, hospice and euthanasia care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, and preventative medicine. The practice benefits from access to internal specialty consultations and network-supported resources, fostering a culture focused on continuous learning, collaboration, and high clinical standards.

Team
The practice currently includes one DVM supported by a dedicated and experienced support team. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with strong emphasis on teamwork, professional growth, and patient-centered care.

Candidate Requirements

Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
