Electronic Technician

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical equipment used in manufacturing operations.
• Modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls.
• Assist in the development of new or updated electronic systems, components, or products.
• Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Interface with the maintenance department to identify replacement parts and components as needed.
• Apply engineering principles and techniques to accomplish operational goals.
• Perform safety checks to ensure equipment and systems are safe and functional.
• Report potentially dangerous electrical equipment to supervisors and assist in resolution.
• Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.
• Exercise independent judgment while following established guidelines and instructions.
• Perform a variety of complex and technical tasks.
• May lead and direct the work of others as needed.
• Develop and maintain a positive and professional work attitude.
• Provide backup support for the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering and/or a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics principles and design.
• Experience troubleshooting electronics, repairs, and installations.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and temperature controllers.
• Experience with 24v, 110v, 220v, and 480v systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, installing, and programming VFDs.
• Knowledge of relay logic circuits and basic electrical circuitry.
• Proficient with multimeter usage.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to follow highly complex directions.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
