Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of buyers, coordinating workloads and training
• Source and purchase materials, components, and services for production
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supplier agreements
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality and on-time delivery
• Forecast material needs with production and engineering to avoid shortages or excess inventory
• Ensure materials meet quality and compliance standards
• Resolve supplier issues and track performance metrics
• Maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices
• Provide management updates on procurement activities and supply chain risks

Required Experience:

• Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and vendor management
• Experience in machining, hydraulic cylinder production, or heavy equipment industries is preferred
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
• At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising a purchasing team
