Associate Sales Manager Columbus, OH - 2255 Citygate Drive - Columbus, OH 43219 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Apply Description General Summary: The Associate Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth through new markets, out-of-APR business, and emerging opportunities. This role combines people leadership with strategic business development, focused on identifying, prioritizing, and scaling new revenue streams. This position leads a team of Account Managers responsible for business development efforts and smaller-package opportunities, while partnering closely with sales leadership, engineering, and key vendors to support market expansion and long-term growth initiatives. This role does not carry traditional account ownership, but plays a critical role in shaping strategy, enabling execution, and accelerating results across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Coaches, mentors, develops and leads assigned team members Plans and executes regular one on one with assigned team members In collaboration with Sales Manager Creates development plan for each team member Builds annual sales forecast for assigned team Builds market plans Executes company initiatives Participate in and potentially lead sales meetings Participates in responsibility for sales and marketing of Rockwell Automation and Hoffman product lines Maximizes participation and relationship with members of Affiliated Distributors (AD) Builds strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intrinsic motivation to learn, grow and assume greater responsibility. Desire to coach, mentor, develop and lead others. Bachelor's degree in technical or business field. A combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will be considered in place of a bachelor's degree. Minimum 5 years sales, product and customer service experience Excellent listening skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of McNaughton-McKay business systems. Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Sales Manager Direct Reports: Account Managers Working Conditions: Normal office environment; frequent daily travel in assigned territory, some overnight travel.
