While ALS affects my body, my cognition is fully intact. I use advanced assistive technology to communicate and stay engaged. I also rely on the following equipment: Feeding tube Ventilator with tracheostomy Hoyer lift Computer-based communication No prior caregiver experience is required. We provide training and ongoing support. Before my diagnosis, I worked for a global consulting firm in NYC and loved biking, traveling, and spending time with friends. I was diagnosed at 38 and am now 47. I value good energy, humor, and clear communication. We are also LGBTQIA+ friendly, and respect, inclusivity, and comfort are core values in our home. Living Arrangement: Private bedroom and bathroom provided off-site Housing is located approximately 10 minutes bike ride away at my father's home Both homes are within the same gated community A valid driver's license and comfort driving locally is strongly preferred This is a live-in style role due to schedule and availability expectations, even though housing is nearby rather than in the main home.
