Position: Expediter

Position Description:

Act as the liaison between the service staff and the chef and his staff so as to keep communication lines direct, orderly and precise. Effectively makes sure that all orders reach the intended tables and reaches them correctly.

Physical Requirements :

  1. Ability to stand and walk during 8 to 10 hour shifts.
  2. Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions.
  3. Ability to lift and carry large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Required Experience:

  1. Basic knowledge of food & beverage menus
  2. Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
  3. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
  4. Work efficiently & as a team
  5. Knowledge of restaurant layout
  6. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
  7. Observe restaurant policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming.

Minimum requirements:

Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Need to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management.
