Security Officer

WTSA Security is hiring Unarmed and Armed Security Officers for multiple locations in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must have an active North Carolina guard card. This role is ideal for professional security guards with strong situational awareness, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform foot patrol and monitor assigned areas to ensure safety and security

• Manage access control for employees, visitors, and vendors

• Conduct surveillance and monitor cameras or alarm systems when applicable

• Respond to incidents and perform basic investigation as needed

• Complete detailed reports including daily activity logs and incident documentation

• Enforce site policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention protocols

• Provide a visible security presence and maintain professionalism at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active NC Guard Card required (unarmed or armed)

• Prior experience as a Security Officer, Armed Security Officer, or Law Enforcement Officer preferred

• Must pass background checks and mandatory drug testing

• Reliable transportation and ability to work a flexible schedule

• Strong observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to follow post orders and safety protocols

Work Environment & Schedule

• Assignments may include retail, commercial, industrial, or private site security

• Indoor and outdoor shifts depending on location

• Physically active role requiring standing, walking, and occasional lifting

• Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends

• Smoke-free work environment
