Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its full-service animal hospital serving a wide range of species in New Jersey. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care to avians, cats, dogs, fish, pocket pets, rabbits, reptiles, and ZooMED patients and is hiring an Associate Veterinarian to support its diverse caseload and loyal client base.

Working Hours / Rota
The role is open to either full-time or part-time candidates. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday through Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Scheduling supports both full-time and part-time flexibility.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality veterinary care across a broad and varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry with dental radiography, anesthesia and pain management, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopy, emergency and urgent care, hospitalization, and hospice care. The role also involves building trusted, long-term client relationships, collaborating closely with colleagues and support staff, and contributing to a compassionate, learning-focused hospital culture.

Practice Details
The hospital is a modern, full-service veterinary facility delivering advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic care. It is AAHA accredited and a Feline-Friendly Practice, reflecting its commitment to high standards of medicine and patient comfort. The practice is equipped with a dedicated dental suite, dental radiology, digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, EMR, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, endoscopy, video otoscopy, echocardiography, EKG, Tonopen, oxygen and transfusion therapy, and intensive care capabilities. Services offered include advanced dental care, dermatology, ophthalmology, reproductive services, urology, periodontics, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, stem-cell therapy, laser therapy, preventive care, and routine and advanced surgical procedures.

Team
The team consists of seven DVMs supported by a strong and skilled support staff. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with a shared commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
