We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support heavy civil construction projects. The operator will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, and skid steers
• Perform grading, trenching, excavation, and backfill operations
• Read and work from grade stakes, plans, and elevations
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
• Work closely with laborers, foremen, and other operators
• Maintain a safe, clean, and productive job site
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies
• Work in varying weather and job site conditions

Qualifications

• Heavy civil construction equipment operating experience required
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy equipment
• Knowledge of trench safety and underground utility work
• Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
• Ability to work long hours in outdoor environments
• Reliable transportation to job sites
