Service Technician

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support service technicians performing installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of high-temperature industrial and laboratory furnaces, including hands-on field service as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate service activities, field assignments, and customer visits to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders.
• Provide advanced technical expertise to resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues remotely and on-site.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and standardized service procedures.
• Train and mentor service staff on equipment operation, diagnostics, safety practices, and customer interaction.
• Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to communicate field issues and drive product and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Support strong customer relationships through clear communication and post-service follow-up.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years' experience in servicing machinery.
• Must be a "road warrior", but fine with going on the road/traveling
• Understanding of furnace controls, thermocouples, PID controllers, PLCs, and gas/electrical heating systems.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain great attendance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
