Value Stream Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations and continuous improvement for the Value Stream. Focus on creating smooth product flow, using pull systems where needed, and balancing workloads. Promote standardized processes, implement countermeasures, and drive safety improvements. Build a culture that fixes problems immediately to ensure quality and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Manage and guide the team by setting clear goals aligned with company strategy. Recruit, train, and develop team members while providing regular feedback and recognition. Oversee performance management, succession planning, and talent development to improve overall results.
• Use PDCA and MDI processes to achieve goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics. Maintain visual systems to make problems visible and perform Leader Standard Work for consistent execution.
• Ensure employees receive proper training and cross-training, including backup coverage, to keep operations running smoothly.
• Create and implement short- and long-term improvement plans to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team performance.
• Lead and coordinate successful launches of new products within operations. Contribute to developing standards, programs, and strategic facility plans. Share best practices and benchmark information to improve processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR equivalent experience
• 5-7 years' experience in sheet metal fabrication includes cutting, punching, forming, welding, and/or painting.
• 5 years of demonstrated implementation experience in Lean principles
• Lean, Operations or Supply Chain Certifications
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
• Demonstrated experience in flow principles, Kanban, and plan for every part (PFEP)
• Demonstrated experience in leadership with a diversity of team skills.
