Job Summary
Job Description
The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting the Accounting Team through the accurate and timely processing of employee expenses and company credit card transactions, as well as providing administrative support. This position will interact with the accounting team and other departments to ensure financial and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. You will have the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Reconcile, scan, record & deposit cash receipts from interoffice and mail deliveries.
- Pick up, sort, and distribute company mail.
- Process outgoing mail, including certified mail.
- Handle the day-to-day accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and outgoing payments.
- Collect required approvals, review, verify, and input PO and non-PO invoices in accounting software in compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Obtain W9’s from vendors.
- Responding to vendor and internal AP inquiries.
- Monitor accounts for issues and work with vendors or internal teams to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure proper classification in accounting systems.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of company credit card accounts
- Process employee expense reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner according to company policies
- Assist with various administrative tasks including document management, scanning, filing, and maintaining internal records
- Support ad hoc projects and operational tasks from Accounting
- Order office supplies and maintain stock.
- Some travel required to the post office and bank
