PLC Technician

Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and enhance PLC programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in PLC-driven systems and associated electrical or electronic components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel designs, and wiring documentation.
• Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to deploy automation upgrades and process improvements.
• Conduct system testing, verification, and validation, ensuring accurate documentation of control logic.
• Manage, maintain, and update PLC software backups and technical records.
• Assist with the installation, startup, and commissioning of new machinery and control systems.
• Adhere to established safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all automation activities.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting within an industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, including sensors, actuators, motor controls, and power distribution.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with close attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules or shifts as operational needs require.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating robotics or motion control solutions.
• Familiarity with safety PLCs and machine safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13849, ANSI B11).
• Understanding of data acquisition systems and industrial networking concepts.
