Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison!

This position plays a vital role in assessing and managing the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and CDCR guidelines while promoting overall health and well-being.
Details:

• Location: Stockton, CA
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
• Employment Type: Contract

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of California
• At least 1 year of experience as a Dietitian
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a strict background check
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, meal planning, and dietary modifications
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals based on medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and facility guidelines
• Develop and implement individualized meal plans and therapeutic diets in compliance with CDCR regulations
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, making adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, staff, and facility administrators
• Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations, including food safety standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with CDCR policies
• Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare meetings to enhance patient care outcomes
