Transportation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that ensure safe operations; maintain compliance with company standards, insurance requirements, and all local, state, and federal regulations, including AIB standards.
• Oversee a transportation budget exceeding $1M, including management of a $500K capital budget.
• Direct daily transportation operations to meet budget targets while responding promptly and effectively to planned and unplanned community transportation needs.
• Lead operational processes and safety programs using a train-the-trainer model; monitor compliance, drive continuous improvement, and measure and report performance results.
• Contribute to annual budget development and long-term strategic planning, including capital expenditure forecasting, and lead the team to achieve budget goals.
• Collaborate closely with company vehicle partners to oversee fleet safety and preventive maintenance programs.
• Partner with Distribution Services, Food Acquisition, and agency partners to support strategic objectives through cost analysis, coordination of activities, performance measurement, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in transportation operations or within a food warehouse/food distribution.
• CDL License (Class A CDL)
• Obtaining serv safe required (HAACP experience is desired)
• Experience with injection molding, assembly automation and high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, food safety, etc.
