Spring Mill Pointe, a HumanGood life plan community in Lafayette Hill, PA is seeking a full time cook to join our team.

Under general supervision, the Cook's primary objective is the preparation of food items to ensure high standard of quality and quantity to meet the needs of the residents for the Residential Living, Personal Care and Memory Support. Handles food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards. As a representative and team member of dining services, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction in the dining department.

The Cooks primary objective is the preparation of food items to ensure high standard of quality and quantity to meet the needs of the residents. You would be handling food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, recipes, and portion guidelines

  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and quantity meet established standards

  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling regulations

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstations

  • Collaborate with Dining Services team members to provide an excellent dining experience for residents

  • Uphold a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with residents and team members

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: 6:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

To be successful in the role, you would have:

  • Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
  • Food Handlers certification
  • ServSafe certification (preferred)
