Machine Operator

 THIS IS NOT A CNC SHOP. We are looking to replace a long-term employee who is retiring. We hope to find someone with skills, or at least able to train for a lot of new skills...

Pipe nipple shop looking for a pipe threader. We use manual threading machines, saws, roller cutting saws, blasting machine, wheel grinders, various hand tools, and more. We can train, but having knowledge of machinery & mechanics will will fit this job well. Knowing how to read a ruler is a must; knowing fractions and decimals is a crucial part of the job as well. Duties will include operating Landis threading machines and learning the various parts of it; setting gauges, sharpening chasers, etc. Other duties will include keeping track of finished tasks on provided paperwork, using saws if able, blasting small items, and more.

Must be able to be on your feet all day with standard breaks. Must provide own safety glasses. Hearing protection is provided, if desired. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. All paperwork is in English.

Anyone who is mechanically inclined in any other area of manufacturing would find this job easy to learn. No uniforms, but a dedicated wardrobe is recommended, as this is a dirty job.

Full time, on site M-F 8am- 4:30pm with two 15-min breaks and half hour lunch. Pay starts at $20 with a monthly bonus program & healthcare after 90-day probation. One week vacation after 1 year of employment. (Vacation days increase every year). Paid holidays. Bonus is based on monthly sales, and are paid in a separate, monthly check. Amount of bonus is negotiable with owner. Occasional overtime opportunities are available depending on work load. We are a small but busy shop, serving a lot of big deal industrial users in Wisconsin and across the country. We are considered essential manufacturing.
