Job Title: Senior Director, Food & Nutrition Services Department: University Hospital | Administration

Scope of Position:

The Senior Director for Food and Nutrition Services is the senior leader responsible for the development and implementation of the vision and strategic direction for process improvement, compliance, quality and safety measures, innovation, and overall operations across the hospitals and ambulatory settings. The Senior Director is responsible for the research, design and implementation of initiatives and programs that improve the experience of patients, guests, and staff. Oversee a budget of $32M and >330 employees.

Position Summary:

Provides strategic leadership for all aspects related to food, nutrition, and hospitality retail operations across the health system, including patient food services, clinical nutrition, retail cafeterias, gift shops, catering, culinary medicine programs, and manages subcontracted food and beverage vendors. Develops cohesive leadership and employee teams that advance strategic priorities, elevate patient and customer experience, meet regulatory and safety standards, and operate within health system business objectives. Promotes teamwork within the department and across the organization, working with health system stakeholders to design and implement programs and processes that advance organizational priorities. Applies industry best practices, denoting patient and consumer experience needs and feedback, plans and implements capital projects; oversees feasibility studies and changes to operations, assures departmental compliance with internal policies and practices. Helps guide the strategic direction, oversees program administration, and provide vision and leadership in creating an environment of exceptional care for patients, families, physicians, and staff members.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree may be required. 12 years of relevant experience required. 15 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
