Our growing Tax Advisory Services practice is looking for enthusiastic students to join our 2027 internship program. This is your chance to expand your knowledge, develop your skills and help organizations thrive!
As a Tax Winter Intern , you work as a member of the engagement team and are responsible for a variety of assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagement primarily the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns. You will be part of a learning culture that values quality and integrity, where youll be supported by Schneider Downs professionals.
We understand the importance of work-life balance. Thats why weve embraced a hybrid work model, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home as well as in the office. Our winter session runs from early-January to late-April, and while flexibility is at the core of our culture, we expect interns to be available during working hours Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5

WHAT YOULL DO
- Support various assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagement, including both tax compliance and tax consulting matters
- Research and analyze accounting and tax-related issues
- Utilize data extraction, data analytics and data visualization tools to bring insight to clients
- Proactively interact with engagement team to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
WHAT YOULL NEED
- Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Accounting
- Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028, and be available to begin full-time work between January 2028-October 2028
- A preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum), or combination of educational success and applicable work and/or volunteer experience
- Plans to pursue minimum requirements for CPA eligibility
Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful work experiences while supporting our firm's growth. Successful interns are eligible for conversion into full-time employment after graduation, based on individual performance and department needs.
