Job Title: Administrative Assistant 3 | Harding Hospital Department: Brain and Spine | Neurosciences Administration

Scope of Position : OSU Harding Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health Services to support the behavioral, psychiatric, and psychological needs of adults and their families. The Administrative Assistant provides a broad range of basic to complex clerical services relating to document preparation, scheduling, coordination of meeting and workflow. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate across internal and external organizations. The Administrative Assistant works under minimal supervision and is responsible for the efficient operations and professional image of the executive office of OSU Harding.

Position Summary: This position provides a broad range of basic to complex administrative services relating to the support of the Senior Director of Hospital Operations, Harding Medical Director, Associate Chief Quality Officer, Director of Behavioral Health and Director of the Stress, Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Program, ranging from document and correspondence preparation, scheduling, and coordination of meetings and events.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: High-school diploma or GED. 2 years of relevant experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, as well as other office equipment / skills; possession of strong organizational skills and excellent customer service skills, Experience with, or knowledge of medical terminology required. Demonstrated ability to work in multiple databases and software applications for management and reporting. Ability to work in self-directed manner while interacting with consumers, physicians and all medical center faculty and staff. Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare team. Strong demonstrated verbal written, problem-solving and presentation skills, Demonstrates high level of customer service skills. Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment.

Ongoing: Demonstrates competency in daily functions, interpersonal and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions. Maintains knowledge related to product/service line, quality improvement, cost reduction, current registration proficiency in utilizing all applicable systems. Must meet mandatory educational and health requirements. Attends Health System and Departmental in-services, education forums, and meetings as required. Customer service focus and ongoing training. Demonstrates competency in cognitive and interpersonal skills required to meet essential job functions.
