This position will apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Technical bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Minimum of 3 years in Quality Engineering.
Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and require an Interim Secret prior to start.
Desired Skills:
Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA certification preferred)
Experience working independently with customers and suppliers
Experience creating and modifying Receiving Inspection Plans
Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Team lead or formal leadership experience
Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
Experience with SAP, P2P, VECAMS, and data analytics to report trends and achieve results
Excellent communication skills to engage the team, customers and senior leaders
Resourceful self-starter possessing a "learning orientation"
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
