Quality Manager

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Corporate Quality Department to develop, implement, and maintain quality policies and procedures
• Coordinate with divisional and cross-functional teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance with established procedures
• Serve as a subject matter expert and training resource for quality-related processes across departments
• Present quality information and findings to customers and vendors as required
• Manage, track, and respond to corrective and preventive action requests
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints and claims
• Communicate and coordinate quality matters with steel mills and external partners
• Support the evaluation and selection of suppliers and customers from a quality perspective
• Prepare and submit First Article Inspection and PPAP documentation
• Conduct internal and external quality audits
• Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality system documentation
• Perform process capability studies, gage R&R studies, and oversee inspection equipment calibration activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• Hands-on experience with IATF standards
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO management systems
• Lean Six Sigma certification required
• Proficient in standard business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong understanding of the steel industry and associated products
• Experience with computerized document control systems
• Working knowledge of inventory management and materials production processes
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
• Strong background in inventory control and materials management
• Proficient in quality and environmental management systems
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
