Industrial Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies related to paper mill machinery using hand and power tools.
• Perform accurate measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
• Properly use, adjust, maintain, and store mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Install and remove bearings and assemblies to OEM standards using power pullers, hydraulic nuts, grease assist systems, flux heaters, and, when necessary, cutting torches.
• Actively contributes to continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing turnaround time, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality, seamless service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a skilled mechanic with completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
• OR Four (4) years of experience as a skilled mechanic.
• Interpret rough sketches, blueprints, manuals, and verbal instructions to assemble or repair equipment.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
