Job Summary:
The duties and responsibilities of this position compares to those of a Welder 3 - 6 but are performed at a higher level of independence. Sr. Welders demonstrate advanced quality when manufacturing a variety of complex equipment and products. Sr. Welders demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in welding techniques, such as TIG and MIG welding. Sr. Welders are assigned to custom projects and are able to collaborate with management on customer specifications. Sr. Welders must be able to read and understand complex build documents and drawings, as well as follow written and verbal instructions. Sr. Welders are assigned to a specific area in the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments. Sr. Welders may perform other tasks as needed.

- Manufacture complex equipment and products 20%

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace/shop 20%
Experience and Education:
- Minimum - High School or GED
- Minimum - 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training
Position Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of proper welding techniques, such as TIG and MIG welding
- Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
- Ability to add and subtract fractions
- Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed
- Interpersonal; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality
- Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
