• Proposal Development

  • Review project scopes, drawings, and specifications.

  • Prepare accurate proposals, labor estimates, and bill of materials.

• Material Selection & Purchasing

  • Select appropriate controls, sensors, and equipment.

  • Purchase materials/equipment and manage delivery schedules.

  • Maintain awareness of vendor pricing and alternatives.

• Inventory & Submittals

  • Oversee inventory of controls equipment and common materials.

  • Prepare and submit shop drawings, submittals, and O&M manuals.

• Project Management

  • Plan and manage multiple BAS projects from award to closeout.

  • Develop project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate project labor internally and with subcontractors.

  • Manage subcontractors for installation, programming, and commissioning.

• Field Coordination & Support

  • Work with field technicians to ensure proper installation and startup.

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support as needed.

• Project Closeout

  • Ensure system testing, balancing, commissioning, and documentation are complete.

  • Conduct final walkthroughs and training for clients.

• Customer & Vendor Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Experience in Building Automation Systems (controls installation, programming, or project coordination).

• Familiarity with HVAC systems and integration with BAS.

• Strong project management skills scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination.

• Ability to read construction documents (plans, specs, risers, wiring diagrams).

• Proficiency with MS Office, project management tools, and basic estimating software.

• Excellent communication skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Career Growth

• Initial role is focused on execution: proposals, purchasing, project management, and subcontractor coordination.

• As they gain experience and demonstrate leadership, they will:

  • Take on responsibility for division P&L oversight .

  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the BAS division.

  • Build and mentor a team of BAS technicians and project engineers.

  • Eventually transition into BAS Division Manager role.
