Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, excavators, and related machinery safely and efficiently.

  • Accurately perform grading work and use a transit for layout and elevation verification.

  • Lead and manage a small crew (typically two laborers) on-site to ensure project quality and timelines.

  • Coordinate daily job activities, solve problems proactively, and communicate clearly with management.

  • Maintain and inspect equipment daily for safety and performance.

  • Submit job progress and completion reports through digital tracking systems.

  • Uphold all safety standards and protocols at all times.

  • Work extended hours as needed during snow season and peak workloads.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience operating landscaping/construction equipment (skid steer, excavator).

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate small teams.

  • Proficient in grading and using a transit for accurate layout and slope checking.

  • Comfortable with job tracking and digital documentation.

  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work through challenges without fuss.

  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs safely.

  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Physically able to perform demanding tasks in a fast-paced field environment.
