Roof Structures Inc. (RSI), a leader in Californias commercial framing and carpentry sector, is seeking a detail-driven Commercial Framing Estimator to join our Sales & Client Relations team. This position requires a strong background in wood framing systems, blueprint reading, and the ability to use industry-standard estimating software. Youll be responsible for reviewing project drawings, collaborating with contractors and suppliers, and delivering accurate, timely estimates that help win work and drive company success.

• Review architectural/structural drawings and specifications to develop accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates

• Analyze framing systems and interpret construction documents

• Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFSs (Requests for Substitution)

• Coordinate with steel joist suppliers and general contractors

• Upload, distribute, and track project drawings and updates

• Review addenda and incorporate changes into existing bids

• Utilize On-Screen Takeoff and similar programs to quantify board footage and estimate by BF/HR

• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to align on scope, budget, and feasibility

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating (wood framing preferred)

• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, Procore, Microsoft Office, and PDF markup tools

• Strong understanding of lumber measurements (board footage, BF/HR)

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment
