Join our team at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia, Louisiana, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a historic estate setting. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while working in a beautiful and unique environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Menu planning and execution
• Plate presentation with attention to detail
• Utilize various cooking techniques such as pasta, wok, scratch cooking, broiling, seafood preparation, and more
• Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality
• Maintain food quality standards

Required Skills:

• Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
• Experience with portion control and menu planning
• Strong knowledge of a la carte cooking
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in sauce making and pastry making
• Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and special diets

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with sautéing, flat top grill cooking, and soup making

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $20,000 to $24,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and dining discounts at Café Jefferson.
