The Sales & Business Analyst will be a critical support function for the Mondelez Away From Home Channel, primarily supporting the National Account Manager, Broadline Distributors (focused on Sysco, US Foods, and PFG), while also providing analytical and reporting support to the broader non-commercial team.
This role requires a highly organized, analytical, and communicative individual capable of transforming complex sales and distribution data into actionable insights. The Analyst will be essential in tracking performance, managing core data processes, and assisting in resolving customer service-related issues to ensure the smooth execution of national distributor strategies.
Key Responsibilities
National Account Support & Analysis
- Performance Reporting: Generate and maintain routine and ad-hoc performance reports using distributor business intelligence platforms (e.g., case volume data, operator pull-through) to track sales, distribution, and program compliance for Sysco, US Foods, and PFG.
- Financial & Trade Management Support: Assist in tracking and analyzing trade investment and program accruals, ensuring alignment with contracts and program governance. Support the preparation of financial models and profitability analyses related to distributor agreements.
- Data Integrity & Management: Manage and update key business data within internal systems (e.g., HubSpot CRM) and maintain accuracy in tracking initiatives, opportunity pipelines, and forecasting inputs.
- Presentation Development: Prepare data-driven content, slides, and compelling selling stories for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and joint business planning sessions led by the National Account Manager.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Communication Hub: Serve as a key analytical resource for customer service-related issues stemming from distributor or operator interactions (e.g., pricing discrepancies, distribution gaps, compliance issues).
- Root Cause Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to investigate and diagnose the root cause of service-related problems, collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, and Field Sales to propose effective solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate complex analytical findings and resolution statuses to internal stakeholders and, when necessary, external distributor contacts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and partnership continuity.
Broader Team & Non-Commercial Support
- Provide analytical, data-gathering, and reporting support to the Verticals Customer Business Leader and other non-commercial team members as needed, assisting with general business planning and performance tracking outside of the primary broadline focus.

Job specific requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical, business intelligence, finance, or sales role, preferably within the CPG, Foodservice, or Broadline Distribution industry.
- Analytical Background: Demonstrated strong analytical background with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including complex formulas (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH), data modeling, and visualization for generating actionable reports. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data insights simply and effectively.
- Customer Focus: Experience and comfort addressing customer service-related issues or internal requests by performing detailed analysis, escalating appropriately, and communicating resolutions clearly.
Travel requirements: Ability to travel 10% to 20% to distributor headquarters, internal business planning sessions, or regional offices as required.
Salary and Benefits: The base salary ranges for this position are shown below; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.Washington base salary range: $77,969 to $99,093
California base salary range: $68,640 to $93,962
Any other location base salary range: $68,100 to $93,665
