• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when necessary.
• Keep detailed records of all procedures, train new colleagues or students, and help ensure the laboratory meets established quality standards.
• Promote a clean, safe work area and comply with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree combined with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be achieved within one year of hire.
• Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.
