Summary

JOB SUMMARY: May serve as Charge Nurse and, in the absence of Hospital Administration and other members of the Leadership team, assumes responsibility for coordinating activities related to overall Hospital operations and throughput. Serves as a liaison to all Hospital departments and staff to ensure quality service to all customers, reflecting the mission, vision and philosophy.
  • Provides overall direction for and coordination of hospital operations utilizing leadership skills.
  • Assures that personnel function within standards and expectations.
  • Assesses, develops, implements, evaluates and revises standards, policies and procedures to ensure that all customers are provided the care and services dictated by their individual needs.
  • Creates an environment that monitors and adapts to regulatory and practice changes.
  • Models the standards of Service Excellence.
  • Provides bed assignments and overall direction and coordination of Hospital throughput.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSN or Higher Degree
  • RN License in Maryland (Compact State as applciable)
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 3 years of ER experience required; 5+ years preferred
