The Opportunity
As an Optometrist in our practice, you'll have the opportunity to manage and treat all levels of ocular disease and sight threatening concerns. Our Optometric Physicians have the opportunity to work with other top-notch Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, giving them the opportunity to collaborate on patient treatment and care. Each physician has a designated support staff to help to maintain proper flow permitting full evaluation and communication with each patient. At our practice we emphasize the importance of ensuring all patients have been heard. As a practice we keep ourselves on the cutting edge of medical technology allowing our physicians to run appropriate scans and tests within our office. This is a unique opportunity for an Optometrist who seeks to practice the full depth of medical eyecare who would hope to cultivate and develop deep and lasting connections to his/her patients.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye exams and medical optometry evaluations.
Diagnose and manage ocular disease, including glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
Collaborate closely with Ophthalmologists and Optometrists and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and treatment plans.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Active state license (or eligibility for licensure).
Strong clinical skills in medical optometry and ocular disease management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for patient-centered care.
Prior experience in a medical or surgical eye care setting preferred (but new grads are welcome to apply).
