Job Description Summary
This remote position requires occasional on-site visits and is limited to candidates residing in Ohio. The Scheduling Coordinator will manage the daily scheduling of all inpatient and outpatient procedures, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure exceptional customer service while educating patients on pre-procedure requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties- Screen and direct telephone calls and schedule patient services across all centers, providing detailed service information.
- Process patient registration, update pre-registration, coordinate cancellations and rescheduling, and monitor daily schedule progress.
- Maintain high-quality customer service, inform management of complaints, and uphold confidentiality.
- Identify and coordinate needs and communicate effectively with physicians, department managers, and office staff.
- Implement problem-solving measures, participate in department improvement efforts, and attend meetings, classes, and orientations as needed.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- 2 years of healthcare scheduling or secretarial experience, or 2 years of scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of medical procedures, basic computer and typing skills.
