Inversa Rx Pharmacy is a newly established independent community pharmacy in the Bronx. We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager / Supervising Pharmacist (PIC) who wants real autonomy, predictable operations, and the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
- Lead all pharmacy operations in compliance with NYS Board of Pharmacy and federal regulations
- Oversee dispensing, verification, staffing, scheduling, and inventory
- Manage controlled substance compliance and DEA requirements
- Provide clinical oversight, patient counseling, immunizations, MTM, and adherence programs
- Partner with ownership on payer strategy, wholesalers, and service expansion
Essential Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
Serve as designated Supervising Pharmacist / PIC
Ensure compliance with:
NYS Board of Pharmacy and Education Department regulations
DEA controlled substance requirements
HIPAA and patient privacy laws
Maintain inspection readiness and required records
Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and inspectors
Pharmacy Operations Management
Oversee daily dispensing and verification activities
Establish and enforce SOPs and pharmacy workflows
Supervise pharmacists, technicians, interns, and support staff
Manage staffing schedules and workflow efficiency
Oversee inventory management, purchasing, storage, and security
Controlled Substance Management
Ensure proper ordering, storage, dispensing, and reconciliation
Maintain required logs and perpetual inventories
Report discrepancies, losses, or theft as required
Clinical & Patient Care
Provide patient counseling and medication education
Ensure appropriate clinical review of prescriptions
Support services including:
Immunizations
Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
Adherence and compliance packaging programs
Quality & Risk Management
Implement quality assurance and error-prevention programs
Investigate and document medication incidents
Ensure staff training on compliance and safety standards
Business & Strategic Support
Collaborate with ownership on:
Wholesaler relationships
PSAO participation and payer compliance
New service implementation
Support provider relationships and community outreach
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
Eligible and willing to be designated as Supervising Pharmacist / PIC
Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy
Retail or community pharmacy experience
Strong knowledge of NYS pharmacy law and federal regulations
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
Immunization capability
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary commensurate with NYC market and experience
(Range: $110,000–$155,000)Performance-based incentives (as applicable)
