POSITION SUMMARY
A Senior Landscape Production Manager oversees daily operations, crew management (scheduling, routing, training, safety), quality control, client relations, and budget adherence for landscape maintenance projects, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery while driving profitability through upselling and cost management, combining field leadership with administrative oversight.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication, trust, and meeting customer needs.
- Partner with site Operations Manager and clients to perform landscape quality audits to review landscape quality, task execution, identify maintenance needs, and recommend enhancement opportunities.
- Proactively manage properties with weekly site tours to ensure quality standards. Address landscape problems before they escalate.
- Operate in an Aspire Workflow Management System to analyze landscape maintenance route efficiency and contract profitability.
- Escalate maintenance contracts and contracted services deviating from Aspire defined time and costs, propose solutions.
- Identify and develop estimates for additional work based on issues and upsell potentials for properties.
- Oversee crew work sites, ensuring efficiency and customer service. Ensure high-quality services meet deadlines and expectations.
- Ensure employees work efficiently and safely. Prepare crews with necessary equipment.
- Manage company assets in the field, vehicles, and work sites.
- Work with administrative support for timely and accurate contract administration.
- Manage crew production time and produce billing documentation promptly.
- Develop strong maintenance crews through leadership, training, mentoring, and coaching.
- Keep accurate client files and reports.
- Ensure strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
- Establish good working relationships with team members.
- Foster positive communication and relationships with employees, management, vendors, and customers.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and guidelines.
- Participate in and conduct meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of horticulture, irrigation and maintenance equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five (5) years of landscaping experience or a degree/certification in landscape/ornamental horticulture.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, budgets and teams.
- Three (3) years of property management experience.
- Three (3) years of irrigation experience (repairs, installation, troubleshooting).
- Ability to learn, operate, and train others on recent technologies and software applications.
- Operating within an Aspire Workflow Management System is a plus.
- Familiarity with PNW plant identification, disease and pest identification, and pruning/planting techniques.
- Ability to complete work reports and punch lists with above-average writing skills.
- Experience leading and supervising crews of 3-12 members.
- Knowledge of the proper use of landscaping equipment with 2-cycle engines.
- Current WA state pesticide license or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days.
- Clean WA state driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish English is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs.
- Understanding outdoor environments and safety precautions.
- Experience in detail-oriented work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable, consistent onsite work attendance for a Monday through Friday work schedule that will extend beyond a firm eight-hour workday.
- In all weather conditions, frequently move about work sites with steep grades, slopes, uneven surfaces, and other unpredictable terrain conditions.
- Weekday off-hours and weekend on-call duty is required four to five times per year.
- Be able to demonstrate proper lifting and carrying techniques to hourly workers with items weighing up to 50 pounds. Seldom perform this physical requirement alone.
- Ability to recognize and identify products from a distance.
- Demonstrate to hourly workers how to handle and move materials using hands, arms, and legs. Will seldom perform this physical requirement alone.
- Ability to work at a computer or desk for extended periods.
- Use vision to differentiate colors and products.
