Job Description
The Pet Doctor is a two-doctor general practice, small animal & some exotics veterinary hospital. We offer a wide range of services to provide the best care for our patients including Preventative Care, Urgent Care & Emergency Services, Digital Radiology, High Speed Dentistry, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy, In-House Laboratory and Dental Imaging.
As pet owners ourselves, we know firsthand how important a pet is to their family! And with more than 30 years proudly serving the veterinary needs of pets and owners in our community, our client's pets are family to us as well. We are looking to add a passionate and motivate veterinary assistant to our dedicated medical care team!
Our hours of operation are:
- Monday & Tuesday: 8am-8pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: 9am-7pm
- Friday: 8am-8pm
- Saturday: 9am - 4pm for boarding pickup
- We are closed on Sundays

Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications- An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
- Compassionate and calm team player.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to properly restrain pets.
- Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
Pay ranges from $19-$22/hr depending on experience level
