Job Summary:
The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring all departments are organized, efficient, and executing their responsibilities effectively. This role ensures proper staffing coverage, resolves operational issues promptly, and makes sound, timely decisions that drive productivity, profitability, and revenue growth. The Operations Manager provides hands-on leadership to keep operations running smoothly while continuously improving performance across the organization.

As an Operations Manager, You Will:

• Receive, accept, and register incoming shipments as required
• Dispatch crews daily, assigning jobs to maximize workload efficiency and productivity
• Assign drivers and coordinate with corporate to ensure all shipments are properly scheduled and picked up
• Enter weekly payroll into the company system and process new-hire onboarding paperwork
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding OTR drivers
• Audit fuel logs on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring the facility and surrounding lot are clean, organized, and compliant with fire and RSMO inspection standards
• Maintain accurate logs for local equipment and company trucks

Skills and Requirements:

• Working knowledge of company systems and operational processes
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate information clearly
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions under pressure
• Solid understanding of the logistics and transportation industry
• Knowledge of residential, commercial, and military moving processes

Education:

• Required: High School diploma or GED
• Preferred: Previous logistics and transportation experience
• Required: Previous managerial experience
