What You’ll Be Doing

  • Install, service, and repair commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, and loading dock equipment

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance

  • Work independently and as part of a team in commercial and industrial settings

  • Interact with customers and represent the company with professionalism and integrity

We’re Looking For

If you have experience or a background in any of the following trades , we’ll provide the training to help you become a skilled Commercial Door Technician:

Ideal Backgrounds

  • HVAC Technicians – familiar with motors, wiring, and preventative maintenance

  • Electricians (Journeyman or Apprentice) – low-voltage wiring, controls, troubleshooting

  • Garage Door Installers – experience with springs, tracks, and openers

  • Glaziers / Storefront Installers – precision installation, framing, and safety

  • Welders / Fabricators – steel door work, brackets, and heavy material handling

  • Automotive / Diesel Mechanics – strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills

  • Locksmiths / Access Control Techs – experience with security hardware and doors

  • Carpenters / Framers – comfortable with measurements, cuts, and installations

  • Millwrights / Industrial Maintenance Techs – machinery alignment, hydraulics, safety systems

  • Fence / Gate Installers or Ironworkers – outdoor work, anchoring, and operator systems

Also Great Fits: Elevator or Escalator Apprentices, Commercial Roofing or Sheet Metal Techs, Dock Equipment Installers, or anyone mechanically inclined and ready to learn.
