A healthcare facility in the Syracuse, NY area is seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Coordinator to support business office operations and resident financial processes. This role plays a key part in guiding residents and families through coverage, documentation, and admission requirements.
What Youll Do:
Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and families regarding financial responsibilities and coverage questions
Prepare, track, and submit documentation for Medicaid and other public assistance programs, ensuring timely follow-up
Maintain accurate census, billing, and account information within internal systems
Monitor accounts and assist with the collection of private pay balances and income
Support insurance verification and authorization workflows
Manage resident personal funds in accordance with established policies
Ensure admission and financial agreements are completed accurately and on time
Provide general administrative support as needed
What Were Looking For:
Experience or working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance processes preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort navigating multiple systems
