SCI Summary: SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health’s Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models.
Position Summary: The Sr. Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for all positions within the organization. The Sr. TA Specialist will also provide leadership to the Talent Acquisition Team in support of the Talent Acquisition Director. This role will be involved in Talent Acquisition and other People & Culture cross-functional duties and initiatives to create a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

Essential Duties:
· Provide expert oversight and support for the full recruiting life cycle including corresponding with candidates, screening for qualifications, conducting preliminary interviews, preparing interview schedules, distributing candidate materials, collecting feedback from interviewers and continued communications with candidates throughout the process
· Partner strategically with hiring managers to understand position requirements and ideal candidate profiles for a variety of roles, advising of strategies that maximize talent pools
· Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics to identify areas for improvement and communicate progress with key stakeholders
· Maintain accountability for a positive candidate experience by ensuring that sourcing, recruiting, reference checks and communications run smoothly, efficiently and in an equitable manner
· Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Director to identify and implement effective recruiting strategies that are tailored to the organization's needs and promote equity and diversity within our talent pool and workforce
· Source applicants through online channels and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), such as LinkedIn, Indeed and other professional networks. Assist the Talent Acquisition Sourcer to execute on-campus and community recruiting initiatives to build a strong candidate pipeline for future openings
· Assist with offer letter preparation and work in conjunction with the People and Culture Centers of Excellence to support a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new hires, including candidate, hiring manager and senior leader communications
· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as organizational policies, ensuring all recruitment and hiring practices are equitable and consistent
· Collaborate with People and Culture Centers of Excellence and cross-functional stakeholders on projects, events and communications
· Various other People & Culture duties and special projects as assigned

Education Required:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· SHRM or PHR/SPHR Certification preferred Experience Required:
· 5-8 years of experience in the HR field with 3-5 of those years of experience in full life-cycle recruitment

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s).
