The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will ensure the Infectious Disease business unit (ID) Leadership has accurate and timely financial data to support decision making.
This role is on site in the ARDx ID Business Unit. This position reports to the Infectious Disease business unit R&D Finance Manager and provides great exposure to business partners and the PMO. It allows for both working as a team and autonomously to support Directors and Senior Leaders within our US and OUS based R&D organization.
What Youll Work On
- Responsible for Month-end Close activities including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclasses to other divisions/functions.
- Prepare Flash reports and Actuals commentary vs. various benchmarks.
- Own the monthly Portfolio Management Review (PMR) financial dashboards and lead review meetings. Prepare slides for Portfolio Review meetings with BU leadership, including supporting the Project Management Office with R&D resource planning and project spend prioritization.
- Participate in the development of Plan/LBEs/OEM cycles by updating templates and file build- ups to collect information from business partners to ensure forecast are captured accurately.
- Assist with Total R&D Headcount reporting.
- Consolidate Total R&D P&Ls across all R&D groups (R&D, Clinical Affairs, Medical and Scientific Affairs, and RA).
- Load LBEs into the PowerOn planning system, along with loading the R&D by Project cube for use by Transfer Pricing.
- Approving Purchase Orders along with providing other ad hoc support to key business partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet set deadlines.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of applicable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Record of a strong analytical / problem-solving skills and the capability to conduct complex data analysis.
- Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
