POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Concessions Manager will assist and deliver first-class concession services, customer service, and high quality products in order to increase revenues and uphold the image of the Performing Arts Center Authority (PACA) as a first rate Performing Arts Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise the concessions and premium services staff and work with Human Resources to ensure staffing decisions and actions are consistent with organizational goals.
- Keep all storage rooms organized and clean including coolers and storage areas to specification.
- Maintain par stock levels by fulfilling orders for wine, champagne, beer, liquor, and perishables.
- • Maintain stock of all products including cups, napkins, straws and other disposables both at bars and in storage.
- Assist in the monitoring of event staff when clocking in and out for each shift to ensure the proper transference of job assignment.
- Assist in the monitoring of all theater activity to effectively staff the concession bar area.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and good quality at all times.
- Accept and coordinate deliveries or orders where applicable with the appropriate support staff and deliver all products to appropriate outlet and stocks in accordance to specifications.
- Complete paperwork and projects within established time frames.
- Stay current on trends in the Food and Beverage industry in order to recommend concession best practices and strategies.
- Provide quality guest experiences to all customers, internal and external.
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of clients (preferences, etc.) and the specifics of their events in order to provide the most appropriate event for that client.
- Identify, support, evaluate, and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of concession services within the Food and Beverage department. Special Events and Catering Services unit.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

- Able to maintain a physical presence at designated work locations, maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as events required.

- Able to supervise all aspects of assigned events.
- Skill in public relations, handling complaints, and immediate troubleshooting.
- Able to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoon, evening and weekend, as needed.
- Able to lift and carry at least 20 pounds and work standing on feet, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and squatting for several hours.
- Able to multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, in English.
- Skilled in Windows based programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
- Able to handle money to collect payment for events.
- Ability to work well with other departments associated with catered events.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- AA or higher: Business / hospitality / hotel or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required
Associate of Arts or better in Hospitality and Resort Management or related field.
