Industrial Cleaner

Summary 

The Industrial Cleaner supports manufacturing operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role involves deep cleaning and sanitizing heavy machinery, production equipment, and industrial workspaces, ensuring compliance with workplace safety and hygiene standards. 

Responsibilities  

• Perform deep cleaning of industrial equipment, production areas, production floors, and machinery. 

• Use industrial cleaning tools such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums. 

• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). 

• Empty trash, remove scrap materials, and handle waste disposal properly. 

• Ensure floors are free of debris, spills, and hazards to maintain safety. 

• Follow lockout/tagout procedures when cleaning equipment. 

• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment damage to supervisors. 

• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols. 

• Support other housekeeping tasks as needed during shift. 

Qualifications   

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning is strongly preferred. 

• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers and industrial vaccums. 

• Familiarity with safety regulations, including PPE usage and chemical handling. 

• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks. 

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Working Conditions 

Work is primarily in a manufacturing environment with moderate to heavy exposure to loud equipment and toxic chemicals. May involve working in shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on production needs. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and provided. 

Physical Requirements 

Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking and bending, visual acuity to identify potential hazards and moderate lifting up to 50lbs.
