Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a companion animal practice seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established team in Culpeper, Virginia. The hospital cares for dogs and cats and has longstanding roots in the local community, with many clients trusting the team across multiple generations.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am to 1:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. Full-time scheduling begins at three to four days per week, with veterinarians working only one to two Saturdays per month. There are no late nights or Sunday hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a caseload that includes preventative care, surgery, advanced dentistry, diagnostics, therapeutic services, and personalised treatment planning. Additional responsibilities include providing nutritional and behavioral counselling, collaborating with a highly experienced support team, and delivering compassionate, client-focused communication. This role is intended for an experienced veterinarian, as the hospital is seeking a doctor who can confidently contribute to a busy practice and bring their clinical voice and expertise to the team.

Practice Details
The practice is equipped with in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiography, surgical and dental suites, and laser therapy, enabling high-quality and efficient patient care. The hospital offers a wide range of services including preventative care, surgery, advanced dental procedures, diagnostics, therapeutic treatments, and customised care plans. The environment is described as supportive, collaborative, and deeply committed to work-life balance. The practice benefits from a high tech-to-doctor ratio and a support team that includes long-tenured staff members, many of whom have been with the practice for more than 15 years.

Team
The hospital has four doctors supported by a skilled and dedicated team of support staff. The workplace culture emphasises teamwork, stability, and a genuine commitment to both client service and staff wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
