If you have experience with ice maintenance equipment and want flexible hours while working behind the scenes at one of the nations premier arenas, this is your chance to be part of something extraordinary.

Position Description

Ensure safe, high-quality ice surfaces by operating resurfacing machines and edgers to set up and maintain the ice for practices and events. Role requires experience operating an ice resurfacer, the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues as needed, and adherence to strict safety protocols for a smooth skating experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ice Resurfacing: Operate ice resurfacer (Zambonis) and edger to maintain ice sheet for both practices and game, take regular depth measurements and monitor humidity levels.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on machines before each use, swap out propane, and change blades as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Aptitude: Mechanical inclination is a plus, experience with basic tools, troubleshooting skills.
  • Equipment Operation: Experience and ability to operate ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni ice resurfacer and edger).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs), stand, walk, and work in cold and slippery environments.
  • Attention to Detail: High standards for ice quality, cleanliness, and precise operation.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as events dictate.

Work Environment

  • Exclusively in our ice arena
  • Often involves working around busy schedules, including late nights and weekends.
